MY APPROACH
I use a combination of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal Therapy. Most importantly, I get to know you and I also let you get to know me. I feel strongly that everyone needs to be vulnerable at times, and just be human with one another. At the end of the day we are equals; we just have different roles. As I learn more about you, I pick up on your behaviors and help to explore why they exist. I believe all behavior is functional, but not necessarily rational. My greatest strength as a clinician is the ability to see why an individual behaves the way they do, and assisting them to change for the better.
PRICING
I am currently paneled with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Optum Insurance companies. If I do not accept your insurance, I will supply a "super bill" which you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. You can contact your insurance provider to find out what your out of network coverage is for behavioral health. The cost is $125 per session. Sessions are 55 minutes. I accept cash, check, credit cards, and Venmo. Not all insurance plans offer an out of network benefit.
Hi, I'm Ben.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a National Certified Counselor. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology through American International College. In addition to working as a therapist, I have worked in the human services field for 11 years in a variety of settings. I worked for the Department of Mental Health, an inpatient detox program, and the Department of Children and Families as a supervisor. I have also provided in-home behavioral therapy and case management for adults with severe mental illness prior to transitioning to providing outpatient individual therapy full time.
I offer telehealth individual therapy services to clients anywhere in Massachusetts and Florida.
